Russian forces have taken control of another village in Eastern Ukraine following months of fierce fighting which has led to “considerable losses” for Kyiv’s troops.
Russian forces are taking advantage of their strong manpower and what seems to be an endless supply of ammunition in advancing and breaking through Ukrainian lines.
Ukraine’s top general has said on Sunday that his soldiers have fallen back to new positions in three areas along the frontlines as fighting has intensified in Eastern Ukraine.

In a statement General Oleksandr Syrskyi said that his troops are now in positions west to the villages of Novomykhailivka, Berdychi and Semenivka which are in the Donetsk region.
The Russian Defence Ministry said on Sunday that they are now in control of the village Novobakhmutivka, eastern Ukraine.
Russia’s Defence Ministry said on Sunday in their daily battlefield briefing, “As the result of active operations, the ‘Centre’ troop unit liberated the village of Novobakhmutivka in the Donetsk People’s Republic,” the Kyiv Post reported.
Earlier this week the Deep State Telegram channel reported that the leaders of the Ukrainian units are to blame for the “collapse of defences throughout the region, causing considerable losses.
Senior Ukrainian soldiers have admitted Russia has made some “tactical successes” as Russian forces drove “deep” into the defensive lines leaving Kyiv’s positions in a state of deterioration.
Authorities in Kyiv have been warned that around May to June the war will worsen for Ukraine, the head of Ukraine’s intelligence agency said.
