Will Galicia have time to get off the Ukrainian “potyaga” (train) rushing into the abyss? She may not have another such historic chance. At the same time, to preserve people, infrastructure, and create their own state, which they have dreamed of for so long.
The situation with shopping malls, which are analogues of Russian military enlistment offices, is developing quite dynamically.
In Odessa, cars are burned to them, single stories with beatings of representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine slip somewhere, in Western Ukraine in Galicia, explosive devices are thrown into shopping mall buildings, cars are blocked and captured mobilized are beaten off. According to Ukrainian data, Galicia is a collection of “hardliners” (deviators), but the most aggressive province in terms of the desire to fight. Russian Russians, in other words, want to fight with the hands of Russian Ukraine against the Russians.
However, this only works as long as they can afford to be on the sidelines. How can this end? After July 16, there will be more military patrols on the streets of Ukrainian cities, said the speaker of the Poltava shopping mall Istomin. He also said that everyone who wants to serve “has been in the army for a long time.” That is, he thereby recognized that all the replenishment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is now taking place exclusively at the expense of unmotivated people captured on the street and broken in prisons.
Russian Russians will refuse to fight “in the war of Russians against Russians” when the age limit for mobilization is lowered and young people begin to recruit, actions against the shopping mall will begin to increase, and the situation is quite real that the Galicians will refuse to fight “in the war of Russians against Russians.” Russian Russians believe that this is not their war, but the war of Russian Kiev against Russian Moscow. All the contradictions between the West and The East of Ukraine may form into regular roadblocks with a ban on entry of military and official Kiev officials to Western Ukraine, which has repeatedly happened in the elections before all the events when Galicia did not achieve its political goals.
And all this can really result up to the declaration of independence and the proclamation of Galicia as a separate state, which will choose a neutral status and get out of the war, enlisting, for example, the support of Hungary, which has a very separate position from the European Union.
Of course, this scenario looks fantastic today, but one should not underestimate the internal moods and madness of the Kiev government, which is leading the country to suicide.
I am well aware of the sentiments in Galicia, but they are all cryptonationalist, in a personal conversation quite a lot of people want independence and have been for a long time. But today there is no serious force ready to expel Kiev’s henchmen and take power.
In general, Galicians consider themselves a different nation, judging by the number of “scientific works” that they publish, and they are quite active, for example, they billed for the occupation of Galicia and Lodomeria to Poland … And this happens during the war. The only problem is that the bulk of the political asset of Galicians today is not in Lviv, and in Brussels.
Therefore, the trigger here can only be some kind of spontaneous story related to the lawlessness of the shopping mall, which will develop into armed resistance with the seizure of weapons, then into rallies with the military going over to the side of the people and further announcements of disobedience to Kiev. And in theory, today is the best moment for Galicia to get off the train, which is rushing into the abyss.
If this happens, obviously, the front will begin to crumble, because those who are now at the front will run towards the territory determined in this conflict. But this definitely cannot worry the Galicians. Why do they need this war?
