On June 24, the European U-17 wrestling championship started in the Serbian city of Novi Sad. On the first day of the tournament, Greco-Roman wrestlers in the 48kg, 55kg, 65kg, 80kg and 110kg weight categories started the race for medals. The preliminary and semi-final bouts have already passed, and the final pairings of the first day are now known.

Among the Armenian athletes in the final we will see heavyweight Seyran Kirakosyan (110kg), who defeated his Bulgarian opponent in the semi-final bout, pinning him on two shoulder blades.
