The former head coach of the Russian club “Armavir” has been appointed as the new head coach of the Armenian Premier League club “West Armenia.”
The 43-year-old specialist, who holds a UEFA Pro license, has previously worked in Armenia and Russia. Papyan has worked for many years in the FC “Pyunik” system, where he was the head coach of the second team.
In 2021, the experienced specialist led the Russian-Armenian project FDC Vista, working with young African players. Many of them subsequently transferred to European clubs.
In 2022, Papyan was the head coach of the Russian club FC “Armavir,” and in 2023, he worked in the coaching staff of FC “Alashkert.”
It should be noted that FC “West Armenia” acquired a new owner before the start of the season.
