On July 5, the 2024 European Championship (U20) in freestyle wrestling started in Novi Sad. Today, for the first time, wrestlers in weight categories up to 57, 65, 70, 79 and 97 kg took to the mat. The wrestlers held preliminary matches during the day and semi-final matches in the evening. As a result of these fights, the first final pairs of the tournament among freestyle wrestlers became known.
Four Armenians will fight for bronze at the European Championship tomorrow.
